Help and Advice

Communicating while you are gone

Most often property owners I work with want me to send a text including photos at each visit. I am also willing to take notes and keep photos in my phone (cloud) or google doc for those wanting a peaceful time away from home. "No news is good news" my dad always said. Any and all suspicious observations will likely warrant an immediate text.

What happens if I encounter someone while visiting your home

Because friends, neighbors, love one's, delivery people and the list goes on may decide to visit unexpectedly all parties will be approached cautiously but with respect. Boulder County Home Watch (Chris) is not going to physically remove anyone from a property and if they are trespassing the proper authorities will be called. Homeowners will be notified immediately as well because communication is key during these types of interactions. I consider myself someone who resolves conflict easily and without individuals becoming escalated.

How do your fees work?

Boulder County Home Watch is going to drop by your property to do a walk around and walk through per the schedule we agree on. Basic services like: Feeding a fish during a walk through, watering a few plants, picking up mail or packages and texting property owner photos/update is included.

Pet sitting and more frequent daily visits are more and will require a custom quote.

If you would like your house to be a "Hub House" where I spend a few hours a day in your home, the price might drop a little. Hub Houses, with property owner permission, is where I will spend a little time on the computer working in between other home visits. It is nice peace of mind that I am there, and the presence of a person in your home lets neighbors know your home is occupied and not sitting vacant.  Ask about being a Hub House today.
